Bonfire in the Back Yard – June 15th.

Icon Salon presented the first Bonfire in the Back Yard at Steamboat Landing.  The event was a huge success.  Many people came to enjoy great food, live music, and raffles.  Proceeds from the event have been donated to Embrace Your Sisters!

Pink Days at Lilac Hill Nursery – June 4-5th

Lilac Hill Nursery held the first Pink Days.  Proceeds from the weekend sales were donated to EYS!

2011 Greek Festival, Rochester NY- June 2 – 5th

Embrace Your Sisters was the Featured Charity for the 2011 Greek Festival.  On Friday, June 3rd, EYS was honored to be the recipient of the $5000 donation from the  Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation.  EYS members participated in the festival by collecting donations on Philanthropy Night and hosting an EYS booth throughout the event.

2011 Tea at Two Fashion Show

The 5th annual Tea at Two Fashion Show was a huge success!  Over 200 people attended the event that was held on May 22nd at Steamboat Landing in Canandaigua.  16 local models showed clothing from local merchants including the Country Ewe, Bubilu, Wildflowers, and Dick Anthony’s.  Icon Salon donated their time to do hair and makeup for the models.

All October Embrace Your Sisters will have donation cans and opportunities to contribute sale proceeds for area businesses in Canandaguia area and Monroe County!

October 1st – Party in Pink
Party in Pink was a wonderful kick off evening event for breast cancer awareness month at Steamboat Landing on the Canandaigua Lady!!  Two cruises that included live music, raffles, and  fun for all!

October 2nd – Canandaguia Downtown Fall Festival Booth
Embrace Your Sisters had a booth downtown for people to come check out our merchandise, raffles and much more!

October 6th – Honeoye United Church of Christ
Also supporting Embrace Your Sisterscould have been done by attending the Honeoye United Church of Christ.
Wednesday, October 6th, from 5-7pm for there delicious Spaghetti Supper & mouth watering homemade desserts! Take out was available for only $6!!! People were asked to bring along a non-perishable item for their local food pantry! Support two organizations at once and get a GREAT meal!!

October 8th – Pink Out
Canandaigua Soccer Community PINK OUT!!  A community service event to benefit “Embrace Your Sisters”

To show support to Canandaigua Soccer and Embrace Your Sisters everyone wore pink and  helped pack the stands with a sea of pink!

October 17th - Chefs Wine and Art at the Culinary Center

October 24th - Pizza Uno discount night

Supporters of Embrace Your Sisters were asked to visit Uno Chicago Grill in Victor on Oct 24 and they will donate a portion of your meal to EYS.  You could have picked up your free ticket at any of our October Paint the Town Pink Events or print off your ticket by clicking Uno Ticket.

4th Annual Tea @ 2

Fourth Annual “Embracing Fashion with Tea at 2” was held on Sunday, May 16, 2010 from 2-5 PM at Bristol Harbour in Canandaigua. Embrace Your Sisters would like to thank everyone who made this event possible.

Steve Hausmann of WBEE Radio was the emcee for the event this year again! Models wore fashions from The Country Ewe, CAbi, Wildflowers and Eastview!

Embrace Your Sisters would like to thank Bon-Ton for supporting our organization during the Community Day Sale.  We would also like to thank all of our members who helped to sell coupon books

3rd Annual Paint the Towns Pink

The 3rd Annual “Paint the Towns Pink” was a huge success this year.  We were again able to expand our events and network in new areas!  This year we raised over $12,000 throughout the month of October!!!

Drink in the Arts

We held the first annual Drink in The Arts event at the Three Brother’s Winery in Geneva.

Terri VanBrooker ran the Atlanta Marathon!

Terri VanBrooker, one of the Embrace Your Sisters board members, ran in the Atlanta Marathon.  She completed the race with her brother, Bill, finishing the 26.2 miles in 4 hours, 47 minutes.  That is an average of 10 minutes, 57 seconds per mile!  Terri, not only raised over $3500 for Embrace Your Sisters, but also had over 150 signatures of those who donated on her shirt.

Terri reported that “this has been an emotional  experience for me. I’m overwhelmed by the community support, the support I have received from my co-workers, and the fabulous feeling of doing something like this with my family.  I am truly blessed.”

Embrace Your Sisters would like to thank Terri for her extreme dedication and generosity.

3rd Annual Tea @ 2

Third Annual “Embracing Fashion with Tea at 2” was held on Sunday, May 3, 2009

Thanks to our Fun-Raiser Friends!

The ‘Fun Raiser’ was a tremendous success.  Well over 100 people attended the event which offered hors d’oeuvers, door prizes and a 2009 fashion show sneak preview.  Attendees also learned how to become involved and many took the opportunity to become members.

With this growing network of support, Embrace Your Sisters looks forward to helping even more people in our community who are suffering from breast cancer.
